Ken Barnes at work in his wood shop

This is Ken at work in his shop sanding a nine-in-one frame. His shop is a converted farm building. The frames are glued and pressed in metal jigs. They are finished with a water-based stain and two water-based polyurethane coats.

Ken originally developed the frames to showcase his daughter’s landscape photography for a 4-H State Fair project. The original frame was an 8" x 10" nine-in-one frame.

Ken has been making frames for about twenty years as a hobby. The frames have been marketed at craft shows since 1996. Click here for a schedule of our upcoming craft show appearances.
